Sub: start the teaching of major
languages, including Urdu, and culture of South Asia
Dear Madam,
I am writing to you with regard to the
School of Humanities in your esteemed University. As we are aware that the
concept of South Asian Regional Cooperation(SARC) cannot be meaningful and will
remain incomplete as long as South Asian Languages, including Urdu, and
Cultures are not taught in your University. For the attainment of the goal of
the SARC it is important for the languages and cultures to interact between
each other and learn from each other. Then only the regional cooperation in
South Asia will be a possibility.
I would further like to bring to your
kind notice that I had taken up this matter with late Prof. G.K. Chadha
who had kindly assured me to do the needful.
I therefore urge upon you to start the
teaching of major languages, including Urdu, and culture of South Asia as soon
as possible.
With regards,
Yours sincerely,
